Good Luck!  Please ensure that you know what the exercises are before the grading, if you are  unsure please ask.  If you feel that some extra tuition would be of help for your grading, remember we offer private tuition from £10 a lesson!

After the student grades come the Technician Grades, there are four Techniciam Grades.  The TG grades are where you complete the unarmed Wing Chun System;  the Biu Tze and Wooden Dummy training, and begin the weapons training.  There are two weapons training  systems in Wing Chun, the Long Pole and the Knives.  All TG exams are taken by Sifu Benno Westra.  Wing Chun Technicians wear Black and Red.

After the TG grades there are the master grades, of which there are two.  Unarmed and Armed Master of Wing Chun.  Wing Chun Masters wear Red, again these grades are awarded by Sifu Benno Westra.

The instructor grades are independent of the training grades, in addition to knowing the syllabus there must be an understanding of the deeper structure and philosophy that underpins Wing Chun.  An instructor must also have undergone a training period to ensure that he/she is able to effectively build rapport with students and be able to effectively communicate the syllabus and ideas of Wing Chun to the students.  If you are interested in becoming an instructor now or in the future please come and have a chat.

Good luck
