Tai Chi ChuanThursday nights, 8pm-9.30pm at St.Matthew's School. The aim of this class is to teach the arts of 'Kun Tao' Tai Chi and 'Wild Goose' Chi Kung, as taught by Grandmaster Brian Jones. Tai Chi is the oldest recorded martial art. Kun Tao (Royal) Tai Chi is a system that is practiced in a slow, relaxed manner, to facilitate a deeper understanding of both internal and external body movements. Exercises are done solo and with a partner so that you learn about, and how to affect other people's body and movements as well as your own.
Wild Goose Chi Kung incorporates the bending, stretching, twisting and fluttering movements of wild geese into a health-enhancing routine, which strengthens and moves Chi throughout the body. The movements will massage acupuncture points, stretch, relax, invigorate, refresh, strengthen and generally improve the health of your body. |
