Escrima Concepts

Tuesday nights, 8pm-9.30pm at St.Matthew's School.

The aim of this class is to teach the art of Escrima as taught by Master Steve Tappin through his Escrima Concepts system. This is a weapons based system where you will learn to use weapons from the first lesson. As the name suggests this is a conceptual based system which means it is the idea that ultimately matters not the technique, which is true of everything we teach at Cambridge Kung Fu.

Master Steve is an internationally renowned master of martial arts who specialises in the use of weapons for self protection. He teaches all round the world to top martial artists and special police and military units. We are very lucky that our instructors are trained by Master Steve and his son Wayne personally. Master Steve is a great martial artist but also a great teacher and a great person, he visits Cambridge Kung Fu twice a year to give seminars open to all Cambridge Kung Fu students and to grade the students who practice Escrima Concepts in Cambridge.
